“The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of His being, sustaining all things by His powerful word.” – Hebrews 1:3
The fact that Jesus’ brightness is equivalent to His Father’s glory is one that is treated as serious and deserving of respect. “If anyone is ashamed of Me and My message…the Son of Man will be ashamed of that person when He returns in the glory of the Father with the holy angels.” (Mark 8:38) “Whoever is ashamed of Me and My words, the Son of Man will be ashamed of them when He comes in His glory and in the glory of the Father and of the holy angels.” (Luke 9:26)
“The Word became flesh and made His dwelling among us. We have seen His glory, the glory of the one and only Son, Who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.” (John 1:14)
“For the Son of Man is going to come in His Father’s glory with His angels, and then He will reward each person according to what they have done.” (Matthew 16:27) “And I will do whatever you ask in My name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son.” (John 14:13) We can stand in awe of the finished work of Christ and the fact that Someone so incredible and so holy would love little us.
