Jesus Is The Bright And Morning Star.

“Keep your face to the sunshine and you cannot see the shadows.” – Helen Keller (*quote, not Scripture)

Jesus is the light of the world, and the bright morning star. “I, Jesus, have sent My angel to give you this testimony for the churches. I am the Root and the Offspring of David, and the bright Morning Star.” (Revelation 22:16)

Satan, however, poses as the morning star, even though he was cast down from heaven for his rebellion against God. His best method of swaying people to worship him instead of God is to deceive people by pretending he is the one we should worship. He makes sin look good and tries to get us to question God and do what our sin nature wants us to do, rather than trusting that God works for our good. “How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! How art thou cut down to the ground, which disarm weaken the nations!” (Isaiah 14:12) “He replied, ‘I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven.'” (Luke 10;18) “…He said to the woman, ‘Did God actually say, “You shall not eat of any tree in the garden”?'” (Genesis 3:1b)

“But Jesus replied, ‘It is written: “You shall worship the Lord your God, and Him only shall you serve.”‘” (Luke 4:8) “No one is good — except God alone.” (Mark 10:18b)
