“The measure of a life, after all, is not its duration but its donation.” – Corrie Ten Boom (*quote, not Scripture)
Above everything else in this life, we should seek after God. “For we week not only God’s approval of our integrity, but man’s also.” (2 Corinthians 8:21) – Our righteous actions should win men for Christ. “…As God’s servants, we seek their full approval — by unwearied endurance, by afflictions, in necessities, in distresses…” (2 Corinthians 6:4)
We must remember that earth is not our forever home, and that temporary things will be gone someday, so our fulfillment eternally can only come from Jesus Chrisr. “For here we have no lasting city, but we seek the city that is to come.” (Hebrews 13:14)
We must keep our standing with Christ a priority. “…We seek to be justified in Christ…” (Galatians 2:17)
The wise men of old even sought after the promised King, as they followed the star to where Jesus was. “Where is the newborn King of the Jews? We saw His star as it rose, and we have come to worship Him.” (Matthew 2:2) As a popular bumper sticker reminds us, “Wise men still seek Him.” Let us continue to seek after our amazing Creator, Savior, and King!
