“Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you.” – Matthew 28:19-20
“You know the message God sent to the people of Israel, announcing the good news of peace through Jesus Christ, Who is Lord of all.” (Acts 10:36) “Jesus went through all the towns and villages, teaching in their synogogues, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom and healing every disease and sickness.” (Matthew 9:35)
Before telling the story of Jesus’ coming, the apostle Mark begins by introducing Who Jesus is. “The beginning of the good news about Jesus the Messiah, the Son of God.” (Mark 1:1)
Not everyone responded well to the gospel truth. “One day as Jesus was teaching the people in the temple courts and proclaiming the good news, the chief priests and the teachers of the law, together with the elders, came up to Him. ‘Tell us by what authority you are doing these things,’ they said. ‘Who gave you this authority?’ ” (Luke 20:1-2)
As true followed of Christ, we must spread the Good News so that others may find peace in Him. “Day after day, in the temple courts and from house to house, they never stopped teaching and proclaiming the good news that Jesus is the Messiah.” (Acts 5:42) Let us never stop sharing what the Lord has done!
