“Through Jesus, therefore, let us continually offer to God a sacrifice of praise – the fruit of lips that confess His name.” – Hebrews 13:15
The great love and faithfulness demonstrated by Jesus Christ truly makes Him more than deserving of our worship and praise! “…Great is the Lord, and most worthy of praise, in the city of our God, His holy mountain.” (Psalm 48:1b)
“If I must boast, I will boast of the things that show my weakness. The God and Father of the Lord Jesus, Who is to be praised forever, knows that I am not lying.” (2 Corinthians 11:30-31) Our praise should be directed to the Lord, not ourselves, for He is so much greater.
When we call on Him and praise Him, the Lord hears and answers. “I called to the Lord, Who is worthy of praise, and have been saved from my enemies.” (2 Samuel 22:4) “I called to the Lord, Who is worthy of praise, and I have been saved from my enemies.” (2 Samuel 18:3)
We should think of the Lord our God with great reverence and honor, recognizing His mighty power. “For great is the Lord and most worthy of praise; He is to be feared above all gods.” (1 Chronicles 16:25) “Great is the Lord and most worthy of praise; His greatness no one can fathom.” (Psalm 145:3) “Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. Praise the Lord.” (Psalm 150:6)
