Jesus Is The Lord

“I am confident that the Almighty has His plans, and will work them out; and, whether we see it or not, they will be the best for us.” – Abraham Lincoln (*quote, not Scripture)

One of the most important aspects of the Gospel message is the fact that Jesus is the Lord. All of history, past, present, and future, points to Him. When we tell others about the Gospel, we are pointing to Jesus Christ, not ourselves. “For what we preach is not ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, and ourselves as your servants for Jesus’ sake.” (2 Corithians 4:5)

We must seek to grow in Him. “So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in Him, rooted and built up in Him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.” (Colossians 2:6-7)

At the end of time as we know it, even those who currently deny even the existence of God Himself will find themselves bowing down to Him, despite their hopeless end. “Therefore God exalted Him to the highest place and gave Him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.” (Philippians 2:9-11)
