Jesus Is Our Intercessor.

“There is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.” – I Timothy 2:5

Jesus knows what we will ask if Him before we even ask. He is deeply acquainted with our hearts and souls. “And He Who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He intercedes for the saints according to the will of God.” (Romans 8:27) With Jesus as our Intercessor, how can we fear other people? “Who then is the one who condemns? No one. Christ Jesus Who died – more than that, Who was raised to life – is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us.” (Romans 8:34)

Though we ought not to willfully continue in a life of sin, we must not live in fear that any future sin can separate us from God. – He saves us completely, from past, present, and future sins, and continually prays to the Father for us. “Therefore He is able to save completely those who come to God through Him, because He always lives to intercede for them.” (Hebrews 7:25)

Let us not forget the ultimate sacrifice He paid on our behalf. “Yet He bore the sin of many, and makes intercession for the transgressors.” (Isaiah 53:12c) “But now Jesus, our High Priest, has been given a ministry that is far superior to the old priesthood, for He is the One Who mediates for us a far better covenant with God, based on better promises.” (Hebrews 8:6)
