Jesus Is The Perfect Leader.

“It became Him, for Whom are all things, and by Whom are all things, in bringing many sons into glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings.” – Hebrews 2:10

We are to look to Jesus for guidance and watch out for human leaders who seek to lead us the wrong direction. “And Jesus began to say to them, ‘See that no one leads you astray.’ ” (Mark 13:5)

Paul wisely knew that he could find both comfort and assurance in the fact that following Jesus would eventually lead to his rescue from trouble. “For I know that as you pray for me and the Spirit of Jesus Christ helps me, this will lead to my deliverance.” (Philippians 1:19)

Jesus showed us that following the spiritually blind is ridiculously unwise, while following Him as our Teacher and Guide shows wisdom. “He also told them this parable: ‘Can the blind lead the blind? Will they not both fall into a pit? The student is not above the teacher, but everyone who is fully trained will be like their teacher.’ ” (Luke 9:39,40)

Jesus, our perfect leader, has also ordained human leaders to help direct us more in our knowledge of Him, but we must be sure we’re following leaders who truly represent Christ. “Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world.” (1 John 4:1)
