Jesus Is The First Begotten Of The Dead.

“Grace and peace to you…from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, and the ruler of the kings of the earth. To Him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by His blood.” – Revelation 1:4,5

Since Jesus rose again after His death, we have the Hope of the risen Savior. “Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In His great mercy He has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.” (1 Peter 1:3)

Jesus has the power to command others to also rise from the dead, as seen in the following examples:
“Jesus called in a loud voice, ‘Lazarus, come out!’ The dead man came out, his hands and feet wrapped with strips of linen…” (John 11:43,44a)
“…A synagogue leader came and knelt before Him and said, ‘My daughter has just died. But come and put Your hand on her, and she will live.’ …After the crowd had been put outside, He went in and took the girl by the hand, and she got up.” (Matthew 9:18,25)

Never underestimate the resurrection power of Jesus Christ! Even King David, centuries before Jesus’ birth, foretold it: “Seeing what was to come, he spoke of the resurrection of the Messiah.” (Acts 2:31)
