Jesus Is Our Comfort.

“May Your unfailing love be my comfort, according to Your promise.” – Psalm 119:76

Life isn’t always easy – in fact, we’re promised that it often won’t be easy. However, even in the hardest times, when life seems a very bleak prospect indeed, we can hold onto the comfort that only Jesus Christ can bring into our hearts. “For just as we share abundantly in the sufferings of Christ, God is our merciful Father and the source of all comfort.” (2 Corinthians 1:3)

When we are at a loss for what we should do, we can cry out to Him, asking for His consolation and peace during our time of turmoil. “You Who are my Comforter in sorrow, my heart is faint within me.” (Jeremiah 8:18) Our honesty before God about our hardships can actually help us receive comfort and peace from Him. Knowing that nothing is outside His sovereign will and that nothing catches Him by surprise can also bring us police and direction. “Commit everything you do to the Lord. Trust Him, and He will help you.” (Psalm 37:5)
