“He is Lord of Lords and King of Kings – and with Him will be His called, chosen and faithful followers.” – Revelation 17:14
The Lord is introduced to us multiple times in Scripture as the King of Kings. “God, the blessed and only Ruler, the King of Kings and Lord of Lords.” (1 Timothy 6:15b) He will triumph over all earthly rulers and authorities at the end of days. “They will wage war against the Lamb, but the Lamb will triumph over them because He is Lord of Lords and King of Kings – and with Him will be His called, chosen, and faithful followers.” (Revelation 17:14)
If you truly have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, you can rest peacefully in the knowledge that He has called you to be one of His children. “This is love: not that we loved God, but that He first loved us and sent His Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.” (1 John 4:10)
Knowing that we serve a King who so mercifully and graciously chose us while we were still dead in our sins is a true comfort to us. The Lord watches over His own. We need not fear other power that be, because He is stronger than any other combined forces!
