“Faith is to see what we do not see, and the reward of this faith is to see what we believe.” – Author unknown (*quote, not Scripture)
“And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith.” (Hebrews 12:1b,2) As one with the Father – a part of God Himself, Jesus was there from the beginning and has always had a sovereign plan for our faith, our lives. “And being made perfect, He became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey Him.” (Hebrews 5:9)
God’s means is simple, and organized. He seeks to make salvation simple, not to confuse. “For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.” (1 Corinthians 14:33) God desires that we find our hope and our rest in Him. He is proud of what He has done in and through us. “The Lord will hold you in His hand for all to see – a splendid crown in the hand of God.” (Isaiah 62:3)
Since Jesus is both the author and finisher of our faith, we need not fear when He returns. “When the Son of Man come in His glory, and all the angels with Him, He will sit on His glorious throne.” (Matthew 25:31) We who are His will be with Him for eternity.
