“If God sends us on stony paths, He provides strong shoes.” – Corrie Ten Boom (*quote, not Scripture)
“God is my helper! The Lord is the provider for my life.” (Pslam 54:4) He is our Creator, therefore God is the giver of life. As such, He is the one Who has determined what we need to live, and He is the one who ensures our provision. “And my God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:19)
He never promised life would be easy, however. It can seem as though we are allowed to be pushed to our breaking point, but we must remember to thank Him, even in times of hardship. “And (Job) said, ‘Nake I came from my mother’s womb, and naked shall I return. The Lord gave, and the Lord has taken away. Blessed be the name of the Lord.” (Job 1:21)
In our darkest hour, we must cling to the fact that our Provider also is our Sustainer through the storms. “No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, He will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.” (1 Corinthians 10:13) Know that God’s sovereignty will not allow you to be tempted beyond what He allows, He will not let evil consume you, if you are walking with Him.
